This course introduces the student to techniques applicable to defensive use of the handgun. Emphasis is put on shooting skill development for application in real-life circumstances. The fundamentals of Mindset, Gun-handling, and Marksmanship are covered in lecture while the practical aspects are taught on the range. Other course topics include Situational Awareness, equipment selection, safety, handling, loading, unloading, malfunction clearance, drawing and firing techniques, single handed firing, firing from cover, multiple targets, movement, and tactics.

- 300 rounds of ammunition minimum.
- NOTE: We realize that ammunition is scarce at the moment. Please bring what you can and we will work with it. We will modify round count to fit the needs of the students
- 2 (+) Spare magazines
- Spare ammunition pouches, carrier, or magazine holster
- Quality holster – NO SERPA HOLSTERS WILL BE PERMITTED
- Quality belt
- Small role of masking tape
- Ear and wrap around eye protection
- Clothing suitable for the weather

Force Options Course Enrollment & Payment Policy
Full payment is required to hold your seat in a class. Unexpected family emergencies (Deaths, illness, births, etc.) are the only reasons to drop out from a class without penalty. Within thirty days of the class start date there is no refund except as mentioned. Other cancellations are credited towards a future Force Options class and will be handled on a case by case basis. Special Consideration will be taken for deploying military & law enforcement. Force Options presents courses designed for defensive and tactical training. In order to allow you to get the most realistic training possible, our standing policy is NO COMPETITION WEAPONS OR GEAR. Pistol triggers MUST be at least 3.5 lbs with a recommended 5 lbs. Triggers will be tested prior to class. All participants must provide a COMPLETE training application. These applications are good for a period of one year.
