Deputy Mike Willis is an experienced Law Enforcement Officer with over 19 years of active law-enforcement experience. He began his career in law enforcement in 1994 at

Pike County Sheriffs Office and also worked for Petersburg Police Department part time from 1996-1998. Deputy Willis has served on Pike County Sheriffs Office CounterDrug Task Force, and currently is assigned as a Team Leader for Pike County Special Response Team Operations since 2011. Deputy Willis is an experienced operator in Basic and Advanced SWAT operations, High Risk Patrol Tactics, High Risk Warrant Service, Less Lethal Munitions, Wooded Terrain operation, Nighttime operation and Mechanical breaching. He has been a National Tactical Officers Association instructor since 2012 and currently teaches Less-Lethal Projectiles/FSDD/Chemical Agent classes and Active Shooter Tactics. He is a court-certified expert in the use and deployment of diversionary devices/ Less-Lethal Projectiles/Chemical Agent. Deputy Willis also studied (Ryu-Kyu Kempo) with Mr. Jim Corn for over 8 years, and is a certified private contractor for executive & dignitary protection with Force Options also sits on both CEDA and SILETC boards. Deputy Willis has participated in and/or supervised numerous High-Risk Tactical operations and continues in that role today.
