Force Options Operator Selection Course and Training Intensive

The Force Options OSC is designed is a two portion course. The primary focus is the evaluation and testing of those interested in potential employment with Force Options as contractors. The course is also open to individuals that want to experience the event and get the training, but feel they are not ready to take part in the actual selection.
Force Options is a professional organization committed to providing cutting edge training to the men and women that live at the tip of the spear. Our programs are run by seasoned, trained professionals and masters in their field. Our programs are diverse and complete. We consider our capabilities in certain areas to be “Close Hold” and therefore, we do not speak publicly about them.
All participants will be run through the course together. Those following the OSC track will be identified to training cadre.
The course is open to any qualified person (see qualifications at end of doc). No first time shooters. The course will entail team problem solving skills as well as individual trials. While this will not be a “Boot Camp” type of program, it will be a very busy four days. We expect all participants to come prepared with not only skills, but with a professional attitude as well.
The OSC operational guideline is as follows.
Purpose
To develop a reliable list of qualified operators for CONUS and International Projects.
Components
Physical
Candidates must be fit and capable of working in physically stressful environments. Requirements are set and not based on age or sex.
Minimum Standards are:
- 40 Push ups in 2 minutes
- 60 sit ups in 2 minutes
- 4 pull ups in 4 minutes
- 2 mile run in 15:00
Psychological
Candidates must be psychologically sound and capable of dealing with high degrees of stress. This portion of the selection shall be established through interview, questionnaire, background investigation and observation. All candidates must have a strong team attitude and willingness to work together.
Firearms Skills
Candidates must possess at least intermediate skills with handgun, shotgun and carbine. Firearms skills will be evaluated during the course. Additionally, there will be a skills test at the end of the course.
To be considered you must achieve a mark of 90% or above in each category:
- Timed Tactical Handgun Course
- Timed Tactical Carbine Course
- Timed Tactical Shotgun Course
Combatives Skills
We are looking for people that have solid combatives and or martial arts training in non-sport arts. Preferences will be given to those that have extensive experience.
Qualifications
We are currently recruiting contract staff for upcoming projects both in CONUS and overseas. Participation in the course is not a guarantee of job offer. Only qualified personnel will be allowed to participate in the course.
Basic qualifications are:
- 21 years of age
- No felony arrests, drug charges, or pending court or legal proceedings
- Must meet physical fitness standards
- Must have intermediate competencies with firearms
- Must be able to travel abroad on relatively short notice
- Must legally be allowed to possess and use a firearm.
- Willingness to work in a potentially hostile environment
Suggested Equipment
Handgun
Glock or similar gun in .40SW or 1911 in .45ACP in a Kydex holster worn on the waist belt at the point of the firing side hip with two spare magazines.
Carbine
AR15 platform rifle in .223. Optics are allowed but you must have back up iron sights. Two spare magazines. Tactical sling.
Shotgun
Mossberg 590A1, Remington 870 or other tactical use shotgun in 12g. Side saddle for ammunition and sling. A mounted light is highly recommended.
We’d also recommend electronic ear protection, and wrap-around eye protection.
Dress for the course and come ready to train. We encourage you to have any and all equipment you will need to complete the course successfully. A complete load out will be provided at registration.

The OSC has a limited enrollment. Only paid registrations will hold your slot. There will be no refunds given for cancellations after March 10th. Cost for the course is $595.00 US. You may contact the main office for an application.
